Birgit Neu is the Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at HSBC. She was previously Head of Private Banking Initiative, Global Commercial Banking, HSBC, and has also held COO roles within Corporate Communications & Marketing and Corporate Development in HSBC’s Global Banking and Markets business. She was founding co-chair of Balance, now HSBC’s largest employee network globally which is focussed on gender balance.
Named one of The International Alliance for Women’s World of Difference Top 100 for 2012, European Diversity Awards Inspirational Role Model in 2012, and Women of the Future’s Mentor of the Year in 2009, Birgit has been actively involved in corporate diversity efforts for many years. Her financial services experience includes communications at Atos Euronext Market Solutions and a variety of roles at institutional brokerage Instinet.
Prior to her work in financial services, Birgit worked in digital and publishing in New York. Birgit also currently sits on the board of legal charity Advocates for International Development.
