Dawn Hough has over 20 years experience in Organisational Development, Learning, and HR. Prior to taking on the Director role for Pride in Diversity, Dawn headed up the Diversity function at ING Australia. In this role, Dawn’s most significant contributions included the introduction of executive diversity plans, targets & accountabilities, High-Performance Women network, flexible work practices, and most prominently ING’s Gay and Lesbian Network (GALA) – one of the most successful and fastest-growing LGBTI networks at that time.
Previously at INGA, Dawn was responsible for Organisational Development, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Leadership Development, Employee Engagement, Culture, and Wellbeing. Prior to INGA Dawn ran her own boutique consultancy for over 13 years specializing in Leadership Development, Culture, Change and Organisational Development. During this time Dawn presented Management programs for several high profile training organizations, and personal clients across Australia, Singapore, and the UK.
Dawn’s qualifications include B.Ed (Adult Ed), Masters in Cognitive Science (UNSW), and four years doctoral research at UNSW (Cognitive Psychology). Dawn is also accredited in several behavioral instruments including MBTI, DiSC, TMS, NLP and has received industry recognition as a professional speaker (NSAA). Dawn worked for several years as a part-time lecturer in Post Graduate Adult Ed and is a sought after speaker on LGBTI Workplace Inclusion at conferences both nationally and abroad.
During her time at Pride in Diversity, Dawn has authored three workplace publications, contributed significantly to the development of the Australian Workplace Equality Index, and produced annually the Pride in Practice LGBTI Workplace Conference.
